  1. Serwis nie zbiera w sposób automatyczny żadnych informacji, z wyjątkiem informacji zawartych w plikach cookies.
  2. Pliki cookies (tzw. „ciasteczka”) stanowią dane informatyczne, w szczególności pliki tekstowe, które przechowywane są w urządzeniu końcowym Użytkownika Serwisu i przeznaczone są do korzystania ze stron internetowych Serwisu. Cookies zazwyczaj zawierają nazwę strony internetowej, z której pochodzą, czas przechowywania ich na urządzeniu końcowym oraz unikalny numer.

  1. W ramach Serwisu stosowane są dwa zasadnicze rodzaje plików cookies: „sesyjne”  (session cookies) oraz „stałe” (persistent cookies). Cookies „sesyjne” są plikami tymczasowymi, które przechowywane są w urządzeniu końcowym Użytkownika do czasu wylogowania, opuszczenia strony internetowej lub wyłączenia oprogramowania (przeglądarki internetowej). „Stałe” pliki cookies przechowywane są w urządzeniu końcowym Użytkownika przez czas określony w parametrach plików cookies lub do czasu ich usunięcia przez Użytkownika.
  2. W ramach Serwisu stosowane są następujące rodzaje plików cookies:

a)      „niezbędne” pliki cookies, umożliwiające korzystanie z usług dostępnych w ramach Serwisu, np. uwierzytelniające pliki cookies wykorzystywane do usług wymagających uwierzytelniania w ramach Serwisu;

e)      „reklamowe” pliki cookies, umożliwiające dostarczanie Użytkownikom treści reklamowych bardziej dostosowanych do ich zainteresowań.

  1. W wielu przypadkach oprogramowanie służące do przeglądania stron internetowych (przeglądarka internetowa) domyślnie dopuszcza przechowywanie plików cookies w urządzeniu końcowym Użytkownika. Użytkownicy Serwisu mogą dokonać w każdym czasie zmiany ustawień dotyczących plików cookies. Ustawienia te mogą zostać zmienione w szczególności w taki sposób, aby blokować automatyczną obsługę plików cookies w ustawieniach przeglądarki internetowej bądź informować o ich każdorazowym zamieszczeniu w urządzeniu Użytkownika Serwisu.   1. The service does not automatically collect any information, except for information contained in cookies.
  2. Cookie files (so-called “cookies”) are IT data, specifically text files, which are stored on the data terminal equipment (DTE) of the Service User and are intended for using the Service websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the DTE as well as their unique number.
  3. The entity that places cookies on the DTE of the Service User and accesses them is the Service operator – the University of Gdańsk with its registered office at: ul. Jana Bażyńskiego 8, 80-309 Gdańsk
  4. Cookies are used to:
  1. a)      adjust the content of the Service websites to the User’s preferences and optimize the use of websites, and in particular to identify the DTE of the Service User and properly display a website, adapted to individual preferences;

  3. c)       keep the Service User session active (after logging in), so that the Service Users do not have to enter their logins and passwords on every sub-website of the Service;

  1. a)      “essential” cookies (or “key” cookies), enabling the use of services available within the scope of the Service, e.g. authentication cookies used for services that require authentication within the Service scope;
  2. b)      cookies used to ensure security, e.g. used to detect misuse or abuse in the authentication within the Service scope;
  3. c)       “performance” cookies, which collect information about how visitors use websites of the Service;
  4. d)      “functionality” cookies, which enable the website to “remember” settings selected by the User and personalisation of the User’s interface, e.g. with regard to a selected language or region of the User, font size, appearance of the website etc.;
  5. e)      “advertising” (or “targeting”) cookies, which are used to deliver adverts more relevant to the User’s interests.
  1. In many cases, the web browsing software (Internet browser) by default allows cookies to be stored on the User’s DTE. Service Users may at any time change the cookies settings. These settings may be changed particularly in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the settings of the Internet browser or inform about each time they are placed on the DTE of the Service User.   2. The Operator of the Service informs that restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the Service websites.
  3. Cookies are stored on the DTE of the Service User and may also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service Operator.
